DATE CHANGE FOR QUEEN’S CUP

DATE CHANGE FOR QUEEN’S CUP

The Queen’s Cup has been brought forward to June 17-20, 2010, following a request from promoters, officials said today.

The US$300,000 full field Asian Tour event, which was previously slated in August, will once again be staged at the challenging Santiburi Samui Country Club and will showcase the best players from the Asian Tour and Thailand.

Local hero and three-time Asian Tour winner, Chinnarat Phadungsil of Thailand won the tournament when it made its Asian Tour debut last year and he looks set to defend his title against an elite field.

The event is held in honour of her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 78th Birthday Anniversary.
