FRIDAY NOVEMBER 12, 2010
GRAEME McDOWELL, ROUND ONE, 65 (-6) – SERAPONG COURSE
Q. Thoughts on the round overall Graeme?
A. Well I had a great start last night obviously and came out this morning and birdied nine and ten which was great. But I think the toughest stretch of the course is the 11th through the 15th and although I had a couple of chances in that stretch, I just couldn’t take them. The three putt for bogey on the 17th was probably the downer of the round but I got back and track and had a chance at the last even though I didn’t take it. But overall it was a great start to the tournament round the tougher of the two tracks and now I have to go and make a score at Tanjong this afternoon.
Q. When you have seen all the figures from there, you must be looking forward to going up and playing Tanjong?
A. Yes I’m definitely licking my lips at the prospect of going up there and trying to post a good number. It is great to post a good score on the tougher of the two courses but now I have to go and do it up there too. I have to stay patient and not get sucked in by looking at guys having shot eight and nine under par up there but it obviously does mean there are chances so I’m looking forward to it.
