DARREN CLARKE, ROUND ONE 66 (-5) - TANJONG COURSE
Q. Thoughts on the day?
A. Played nicely out there. I gave myself a lot of chances and left a lot of shots out there as well but I still managed to shoot five under par which is pretty good. It wasn’t nice this morning and we weren’t quite sure whether we were going to get out or not, you’re never quite sure what the weather is going to here do in Singapore. But we got a bit of a bonus when we did eventually get out because there was hardly any breeze out there at all and conditions were perfect.
Q. Thoughts about going to Serapong tomorrow?
A. It is definitely a couple of shots harder than here but I will tell you I am much happier going there and standing on the first tee five under par than if I hadn’t shot that score today. But the big course is a fantastic challenge and it is going to be tough.
Q. You’ll get a bit of a lie-in too?
A. Yes I suppose I will. We’re not too sure what time we are going to get restarted and I suppose that depends if we have any more storms. But we could have a very long day tomorrow, that’s for sure. We’ll see.
