Greg Chalmers takes midway lead at Australian PGA

  West Australian Greg Chalmers has taken over the lead midway through the third round of the Australian PGA Championship at Coolum.

Chalmers, the Australian Masterrs runner-up behind Tiger Woods last month, birdied the ninth hole to move to eight under - one better than defending champion Geoff Ogilvy playing in the group behind.

Adam Scott struck trouble at the par three eight hole after a wild tee shot, his double bogey five dropping him back to five under.

Robert Allenby is two behind Chalmers at six under.
